Same sex reproduction, possible?

At present, there are a number of research labs that are focused on the creation of cells that are genetically male but have been produced from eggs. Alternately, they are also trying to create sperm from female eggs. If the research proves to work, the consequences are particularly important for gay and lesbian couples that wish to have children. The idea is an extremely controversial one that mixes in with politics, religion and ethics. The experiment was widely reported in the news but has not yet been published or successfully replicated, the work does still show that potential for same-sex reproduction exists, and it will likely spur further research in this area. The reproductive revolution is really already in progress.

Is same-sex reproduction really possible? I think we should figure out the nature of reproduction first. Theoretically, the human reproduction just requires the fusion of two haploid gametes, and then cell development into a baby under certain conditions. I will elaborate the possibility of same-sex reproduction from two different thinking.

1, the thinking of Surrogacy

There are 2 types of surrogate mother: complete surrogacy and partial surrogacy. Partial surrogacy is not true surrogacy, and what I mention here is complete surrogacy.

Complete surrogacy: to use consignor couple’s sperm and eggs, implanting into surrogate mother’s womb then through artificial insemination till the birth of baby. In the whole process, surrogate mother only rents out uterus, no any gene relationship between baby and her.

When we talked about reproduction before meiosis was discovered and described for the first time in sea urchin eggs in 1876 by the German biologist Oscar Hertwig, people always linked a man, a woman and sex together. On July 25, 1978, Louise Joy Brown, after the world's first successful "test-tube" baby was born in Great Britain, people realized reproduction doesn’t require a man, a woman and sexual behavior between them , but only need sperm, egg and uterus. In this process, sperm replaced a man, and a woman divided into an egg and uterus (as carrier), and sex can be abandoned. We can follow this line of thought and continue to dig deep. The nature of sperm is human haploid nucleus, and an egg can be divided into a haploid nucleus and a shell with enough nutrients and energy but without any nucleus. In my view, the egg without nucleus is another form of surrogate mother, one is considered from a macro perspective, and the other is from a micro perspective, and both of them share the same nature and just provide a place and nutrients and energy required for the cell development. I think, maybe one day, the shell and uterus both can be replaced by some complete set of reproduction mechanisms, and this reproductive system can total replace all certain conditions for a child. In that time, parents just only need to provide two gamete nuclei of them, and female polar body also can be used as same as egg.

2, the thinking of Cloning Techniques

Cloning Techniques: Nuclear transfer involves transferring the nucleus from a diploid cell to an unfertilised egg cell from which the maternal nucleus has been removed. The egg and donor cell are normally fused and the 'reconstructed embryo' activated by a short electrical pulse, and allowed to develop into an embryo, and the embryo is then implanted into a surrogate.

We can also use this thinking of cloning techniques on the same-sex reproduction. In this method, two haploid nuclei from two different people are injected into an egg that has had its nucleus removed, and then make them fused three together using some specific method or stimulus in order to develop into an embryo, and the embryo is then implanted into a surrogate. This method is really possible in theory, but so far, we just don’t find a suitable reproductive system to replace an egg and uterus, we still should use a woman as a surrogate. In this whole process, we use the two gametes from two people after meiosis themselves, it means recombination occurs freely and allele exchange freely, the offspring is also have diversity. We just control the fusion of two nucleuses, but not the production of gametes, in order to avoid the trouble with some kinds of trigger stem cell into spermatogonia or oogonia and then force them meiosis.

I know same sex reproduction is a complicated one in terms of political, religious and ethical controversy, but to have descendants keeping parents genes continue to exist in the world should be the common consensus for the human being, whatever straight or gay couples, they do also enjoy the same human rights. Except these artificial resistances, same sex reproduction also has a fatal gender problem. Two female gametes fusion, of course, only can have a baby girl. But what about two male gametes fusion? There are 3 kinds of situations after that. Baby girl is 25 percents, baby boy is 50 percents, and another baby (I don’t know how to call) is 25 percents. What if the YY can survive? Is YY super manly? I don’t know. I think this would be a really interesting subject.

As technology advances, i think it is not difficult for human being to do same sex reproduction. In my opinion, everyone has the right to choose their own way of life, without affecting the others.

God is not a girl

I love the song - God is a girl by Groove Coverage, but I am afraid, from the perspective of human reproduction, God is actually not a girl. The male orgasm has never been difficult to understand in the context of its undeniable role in reproduction. But even now, in the 21st century, we are unable to give a reasonable explanation to the role of female orgasm in human reproduction. There is so little research done on female orgasm, it is like a taboo subject. Apparently, the male orgasm plays a vital biological function in reproduction, but women can conceive whether or not they orgasm. Where does it fit into evolutionary theory? What is the purpose of the female orgasm?

According to some investigations, lots of women have never experienced orgasm, but a large number of them still become pregnant. Over the last four decades, scientists have come up with a variety of theories, one theory holds that having an orgasm increases a woman’s desire for future sexual encounters which would then lead them to reproduce, and some scientists think that orgasm helped a woman to retain sperm in her uterus by creating a kind of vacuum. This can increase her chances of conception. Some believe that the purpose of the female orgasm is to give her pleasure-period and more scientist think a woman’s orgasm has no evolutionary purpose at all.

The key to all the problems is people haven't solved the mystery of female orgasm yet. Frankly speaking, I don’t know what is going to happen, after when women know the fact of female orgasm. For many years, the mystery of female orgasm was like Pandora's Box without opened, and it means all women have been deceived as ascetic, but taken the huge responsibility of human reproduction for all time. What are women going to choose, when the Pandora's Box of female orgasm completely open, and they know the pattern of vaginal puncture can never bring an orgasm at all, because the vaginal has no that function. Do women still want to be the Holy Land and continue to fulfill the moral obligations of human reproduction, or courage to say "No" to male orgasm, when they know men and women can never have orgasms together, because of the repulsion of every two orgasm, after every two orgasms, the body must have refractory period. It means only one can orgasm at the same time.

Now, I start to doubt the Darwin's survival of the fittest and it is really suitable for humans? If one day we really extinct, whether we are not suited to nature any longer and nature select our extinction, or we  say "No" to ourselves. Will the women’s awakening stop human reproduction? I think human reproduction is needed, but not at the expense of women's rights for the price. We should figure out love is love, sex is sex, child is child, marriage is marriage. Maybe one day reproduction also can happen between same-sex, after all it is theoretically feasible.

I am really a troublemaker. The world is upside down, and only I stay awake, so I am upside down in the eyes of the worlds. I hope the biggest mystery can be opened to the public as soon as possible.

Give my best wishes to Johnny Weir and Victor Voronov

Recently, I was so happy for them to see a news Figure skating champion Johnny Weir and his boyfriend Victor Voronov have tied the knot and they married in a civil ceremony in New York City. I like Johnny very much on Figure skating stage, even though I am not good at Figure skating.

People have been inclined to challenge the old tradition more and more for the true love these years. I think nothing can stop two people in love together, whatever race, gender or age or any else. In my opinion, we should figure out the ultimate purpose why we get into a marriage, and then figure out the relationship among love, sex, marriage and children.

There will be more and more countries recognize same-sex marriage legalized, after when I can completely make the facts of female orgasm to the public. Maybe Johnny and Victor can have their own children, after when people can make the same-sex reproduction. I think it is not going to take long time, after all, in theory same-sex reproduction is absolutely possible.

Everything is going to be forward! Here I wish all lovers finally get married.

A country's degree of civilization and democracy depends on women's status.

The more countries developed well, the more they paid attention on women's rights and gender equality, and the more countries underdeveloped, the more gender inequality. Some countries and regions with high degree of democracy and civilization in western, the foundation of these countries is universal values, human rights, democracy and freedom, and females there can have the same basic rights as same as males at least in the Constitution, whatever in political, economic or marriage. They can go out to work and engage in any industry they interested in, some even Prime minister or Secretary of State. Women also can choose marriage or divorce on their own, and some even can legally get into same-sex marriage. Now the world is still a men-dominate, and we need to keep working hard to fight for gender equality.

However, compared with the Western democracies, there are other two systems, one is a theocracy system commonly in Arab region. These countries are very rich, because the oil, but money is controlled in a few authoritarian monopolies. Women there have low social status, and a man can marry four wives or even more in some areas. Women have no right to work, and no right to choose marriage, even can’t go out without her husband or father accompany. Woman is man's private property, and after her husband's death, his family male members can inherit their property (including his wife). Such this country actually wants to get into the ranks of developed countries, just depending on their single oil exports. I wonder to know urgently what they are going to do after the oil depletion in decades or a century. In my opinion, the only thing they can do is to build extremely luxurious skyscrapers one after another, in order to find the feeling of standing on top of the world. Do not they know that so many developed countries have already abandoned skyscrapers because of safety and cost issues? I only sigh “they are really too rich”. Here I give my best wishes to Libya women, and I hope they are not out of the frying pan, into the fire. After all under Gaddafi's control, Libya reluctantly maintains monogamy, but almost into polygamy after just liberated.

There is another system mostly in Asia – Single-party states, and some countries are even in family hereditary system. After grandfather death, then father, now son, and grandson in future, they treat the entire country as their private property. What made me angry and annoyed was United Nations General Assembly actually held a few moments of silence for such a dictator who only use lies and violence to rule his nations. Ijust can’t help myself to sigh” how big the woods is in United Nations, what birds are.” Due to the nature of single-party state system, such states have reached a point of irrevocable corruption, and it has been incurable. The whole country all moral turpitude and people laugh for poverty but not for prostitution. As a male, if he wants to survive in this system, he has to move closer to the Single-party and authority, so there are a large number of young people joined the Single-party, but no one really believe in Communism anymore, and the only purpose to join the party is to get a good job or an officer easily, and then has the opportunity to tyrannically abuse his power to bully tragic people than himself. Although monogamy also recognized and permitted in these countries, women there seem have more rights and equality than theocracy women, she can go out to have a work and is free to choose marriage on her own, but this is only superficial, the truth is not that case. The fact is as a vulnerable group of women in this system, she must need to pay more prices, if she wants to survive. Women there are even not qualified to talk about “love”, because in order to survive and live, she must find a man who is beneficial to keep her life better. These countries generally have gender preference seriously and prefer for boys over girls. The reason is simple. First, I have to admit that now the earth still in the patriarchal society, and males have vast majority of primary authority in social organization. In a democratic and civilized country, as a human, females can have a basic life-support as males, but they can’t get them easily in totalitarian state, because of the ubiquitous corruption, women should pay some price to get the basic life-support. Pay what price? You can guess. Bingo! The sex trade. After all survival is the first task than a sense of security, a sense of belonging, dignity or self-realization.

Many western countries condemned the one-child policy in a country, and they said it was the persecution of human rights. I don’t agree with westerners this time. I can use a diplomatic language to explain “you do not understand our country conditions, you don’t understand people there.” If you want a thorough analysis of this problem, see following sentence.

“The best way to understand behavior is to look at the causes of an action and its consequences.” by B. F. Skinner.

We should figure out why they build this one-child policy. The reason is easy. They have to, because there are too many people there. We continue to ask deeply why there are many people in their country. That is because female there tend to reproduce more. Go on ask why female there tend to reproduce more. This answer is the key to all problems. You will make a big mistake, if you think the reason that woman get into a marriage in totalitarian states is for love. The Westerners don’t understand that the children are not love crystallization, but just tools that woman can use to control the man, threaten divorce and get best financial decisions, when a society can’t give a sense of security to women. Poor women need children as a bargaining chip to protect themselves. There is the other reason, in order to make them in advantageous position, people need a way to be strengthened in a without independent judiciary country, and of course, nothing is more reliable than the blood. I dare to conclude that the population rapidly reaches 2 billion in a few decades, depending on current national accomplishment, if the government cancels the one-child policy now. Women there have completely despaired of their selves and are totally lost in such a society, and only put all their hopes and energy in their children. “Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother” is the product of desperation.

Finally, I just want to say all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. Men, think about what if you are a woman next life, you want be treated as inequality?

Here, give my best wishes to all women of the world.

Happy New Year! 2012!
